Property Damage

Property Damage Claims

After a fire, flood, or major water loss, homeowners expect insurance to cover repairs. Too often, claims are denied, underpaid, or rushed with inadequate repair scopes.

We help property owners challenge unfair insurance decisions and contractor failures.

When repairs fail or insurers underpay, we evaluate both the damage and the repair methods; not just the paperwork.

We assist with claims involving:

  • Storm and wind damage
  • Water and plumbing losses
  • Fire and smoke damage
  • Mold related to covered water events
  • Denied or underpaid insurance claims
  • Disputes with restoration contractors

We Step In When:

  • The insurer undervalues repair costs
  • Damage is blamed on “wear and tear” instead of the loss
  • Temporary fixes fail and problems return
  • Restoration contractors cut corners

Due to our extensive construction experience, we evaluate what it truly takes to fix the damage — not just what the adjuster priced.

What to do after an incident?

(1) Address the Issue

(2) Document Everything

(2) Document Everything

Shut off the water, electricity, or gas supply if possible to prevent further damage and ensure safety. Contact a professional, such as a plumber or utility company, to address the issue as quickly as possible. For emergencies, notify the appropriate authorities, such as the police or fire department.

Take photos and videos of the damage from multiple angles, including close-ups and wide shots to show the full extent of the issue. Record the date and time of the incident, and if possible, gather any evidence of what caused the damage (e.g., a broken pipe, faulty wiring, or storm debris).  Retain any receipts, repair estimates, or other relevant documents as they may be crucial for your insurance claim or legal case.

(3) Notify Insurance Co.

Contact your insurance provider as soon as possible to report the damage and initiate your claim. Provide them with all necessary details, including the time, date, and cause of the incident. Ask for clarification on the next steps in the claims process, including whether an adjuster will visit your property and what additional information may be required.
